QUALI SONO GLI EFFETTI NUTRACEUTICI DI EXELIEN BIOLOGICO?

DURING PREGNANCY

During pregnancy, olive oil plays a key role in fetal development, and a deficiency can have pernicious effects on the child's subsequent growth. It has been shown that the postnatal development of children of mothers who consumed olive oil during pregnancy is better in terms of height, weight, behavior and psychomotor reflexes. In fact, the fetus needs a reserve of Vitamin E in order to grow and to fight the oxidative stress. Therefore, both the amount and the type of food consumed in the diet during pregnancy play a fundamental role in the metabolic adaptations that occur in the mother and in her functional relationship with the fetus. During pregnancy and lactation it is advisable to mainly eat monounsaturated fats, reducing saturated fats and cholesterol as much as possible. It is necessary to follow general dietary guidelines and control caloric intake to avoid excessive weight gain.

DURING BREASTFEEDING

During breastfeeding, the vitamin E in the mother's blood is concentrated in the mammary glands and therefore it is essential to maintain high levels of this vitamin during this phase. An intake of vitamin E is, then, more recommended in premature infants and infants with kidney or pancreatic insufficiency because of the favorable effect it produces on the hepatobiliary system. In addition, Exelien Organic contains fatty acids that are essential for the development of the newborn: its ratio of linoleic acid to linolenic acid, in fact, is similar to that of breast milk.

FIRST STEPS AND CHILDHOOD

The beneficial effect of oleic acid is manifested not only in its documented effectiveness in preventing hypercholesterolemia and atherosclerosis (a process that can begin in childhood) but also appears to exert a positive influence on growth and mineralization of bone development during childhood.

Children under the age of three have different dietary needs than older children. Forty percent of the energy they consume comes from fat, whether from breast milk or any other type of milk. It is recommended that this dietary pattern be maintained and that the energy and nutritional intake should cover the child's developmental needs
